Rose Nadershahi Hi, I'm Rose Nadershahi (She/her). I'm a Psychology and Spanish major on the Pre-Clinical Psychology track. At Mercer I’m involved as an AWARE Peer Educator, a research assistant for psycholinguistics, and a board member of QuadWorks. Outside of Mercer I’m an IOCDF Grassroots Advocate. I like listening to movie soundtracks and classical music in my free time! I enjoy reading psychological research and listening to psychology podcasts too! Also, I’m passionate about mental health advocacy. I wanted to become a peer counselor because I have personal experience navigating mental health challenges, and it has made me passionate for reducing stigma and supporting students who feel overwhelmed or alone in what they’re going through. I offer support for students dealing with anxiety, perfectionism, stress, time management, and organization challenges by sharing healthy coping skills in an understanding and kind space.
Kaitlyn Wright Hello! Hope all is well! Here are my bio and photo. Hi! My name is Kaitlyn (she/her), and I am majoring in Psychology with minors in Religion and Statistics on the pre-clinical track at Mercer. I am involved on campus as a member of Mercer AWARE through CAPS and serve as a mentor with the Opportunity Scholars Program. I also volunteer with hospice and domestic violence shelters, which has deepened my appreciation for empathy, presence, and compassionate care. Peer counseling is important to me because I am passionate about helping others and creating a space rooted in empathy and understanding. We all struggle at times, and I truly believe that sometimes having someone to listen and talk with can make all the difference, and I hope to offer that support to students who need it. A little about me: I enjoy reading, shopping, taking walks, and watching football. I also love to travel. So far, I’ve been to Costa Rica and Italy! My favorite food is anything Italian, and I love going to amusement parks and riding rides. I also enjoy playing video games and absolutely love dogs.
Meredith Zierten Hi, I’m Meredith Zierten! I am currently a junior psychology and global health major here at Mercer and aspire to be a child psychologist. I love being involved on campus, especially through my sorority and volunteering. I also enjoy travelling, thrifting, camping, hiking, baking, and binging tv shows. I am so excited for this role as a peer counselor to make sure fellow students know that they are not alone. I have had my own experiences with severe anxiety and OCD, and I hope to offer support for peers that might be going through any issue.
