CAPS Staff Bios (Macon)
Emily Piassick, Ph.D.
Director, Licensed Psychologist & SHAPE Advisor
Dr. Piassick received her doctoral degree in counseling psychology and her master's degree in higher education counseling from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Piassick completed her internship at the University of Texas Counseling and Mental Health Center. Prior to coming to Mercer, she was employed as a counselor at the YWCA of Greater Austin: Women's Counseling and Referral Center.
Rachael Rogers, Psy.D.
Dr. Rogers earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgia College & State University and received both her master’s and doctorate degrees from Mercer University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Ga. As both a Macon native and Mercer alum, Dr. Rogers is excited to be a part of the Mercer community.
Corey Wetzel, M.A. LPC
Corey recently moved to Macon from Chicago where she received her undergraduate degree at Loyola University of Chicago in Psychology and Sociology. From there, Corey went on to obtain her Master’s in Community Counseling from Argosy University in Chicago. Corey previously worked in both a community mental health center and private practice for the past seven years. Corey is excited to be part of a University atmosphere and assisting students with the many life challenges they might face during their college experience.
Ashlee is from the Macon/Warner Robins area and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. After working for 9 years in the medical field, she transitioned into the education field where she plans to stay. She lived in NYC for nearly a decade, but she’s back in Macon and excited to be a part of the Mercer University family since her mother, grandfather, aunt, and husband all attended here.
Marley is currently an MFT student at the Mercer School of Medicine. She graduated from Georgia College in 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. She has always been interested in helping others with their mental health, and is very excited to be serving Mercer students.
Grace received her B.F.A. From Birmingham-Southern College in 2009 and her Masters of Divinity from Emory University in 2014. She is currently finishing up her clinical work in Marriage and Family Therapy at Mercer University. In her free time she loves to hike with her dog, garden, read, travel, and spend time with friends.
